5 Reasons to Take a Gulet Cruise in Turkey This Summer
1. The Beauty of It All
The coastline of Türkiye’s Antalya province is among the most breathtaking in the world—and the best way to experience it is by setting sail on a gulet cruise. With our private gulet and yacht rentals, you can take in the stunning Mediterranean scenery: the golden light of sunrise and sunset, the moon reflecting on still waters, and the gentle sea breeze as you drift from bay to bay.
The climate here is ideal for summer holidays, with average temperatures in June, July, and August ranging between 20°C and 30°C. On particularly hot days, it can even reach 40°C—perfect weather for life on the water.
2. Daytime Recreation and Relaxation
A gulet holiday offers the perfect balance of relaxation and activity. Whether you opt for a crewed yacht or a private rental, you’ll enjoy endless opportunities to swim and snorkel in the crystal-clear waters of places like Aquarium Cove or the famous Kaputaş Beach.
Prefer dry land? Many islands along the coast offer scenic walking routes. Gemiler Adası (Ship Island), for example, has a hilltop viewpoint perfect for watching the sunset with a glass of wine in hand.
And for those who believe a holiday should involve as little effort as possible, there’s always sunbathing. Whether you're stretched out on the deck of your boat or on a golden beach like Cleopatra Bay, there’s no shortage of places to unwind.
3. Sail into History
Sailing along the coast of ancient Lycia means history is never far away. On a gulet holiday, you’ll have the rare chance to explore ruins and archaeological sites that most only see on TV.
One of our most history-rich itineraries is the Kaş–Kekova voyage. On day two, you’ll spend the evening anchored in Aperlai Cove, where you can explore Byzantine and post-Byzantine ruins.
On day four, you’ll visit the famous Sunken City of Kekova, and day five brings you to the Pirates’ Cave at Pineforest Bay—where, if legend is to be believed, treasure may still be hidden. The Kaş–Fethiye–Göcek route is also filled with historical highlights. On day three, we stop at Hamam Bay, where divers can explore the submerged ruins of a Roman bath.
4. Fabulous Food and Nightlife
What’s a holiday without great food? One of the joys of a gulet cruise is the endless supply of fresh seafood and Turkish cuisine. Every private rental includes three delicious meals per day, freshly prepared by your onboard chef—perfect after a morning swim or snorkelling session.
And when night falls, there’s still more to enjoy. One highlight is Pirate’s Bar in Pineforest Bay, a favourite stop on our Kaş–Kekova voyage.
For something truly special, join our Dinner Dining Tour, where you’ll enjoy fresh fish and traditional Turkish dishes under the stars, possibly accompanied by live music from an udi or Turkish violinist.
5. Why Our Gulet Cruises Stand Out
At the end of the day, a holiday is all about enjoying yourself—and our gulet cruises are designed to make you feel genuinely cared for. We prioritise your comfort, safety, and privacy.
Unlike some tours, we respect your space: each evening, the crew leaves the boat and returns by tender the following morning, giving you the privacy to fully enjoy your night onboard.
That’s just one of many reasons why a gulet cruise in Türkiye is more than just a holiday—it’s an unforgettable experience.
