Summer Vacation Is Calling: Kekova Boat Tour Guide
I know you are already starting your holiday plans to shake off the tiredness of the long winter months. We are all exhausted from the busy work pace and the gray walls of the city. As the days get warmer and the calendar leaves turn, the 2026 summer season is officially calling out to all of us.
As your captain who has spent years navigating these magnificent coasts, the clearest advice I can give you is that the best way to rest your mind is to set sail. When I drink my tea on the deck of my boat with my guests in the early morning, I want everyone to experience this profound peace. To drop that heavy burden left by winter and take a deep breath with your family, I invite you to a wonderful Kekova boat tour adventure in these waters that I know like the back of my hand. Since our tea is freshly brewed, we can untie the ropes; I would like to tell you the beautiful stories of these places.
A Journey Through History In The Calm Waters Of The Mediterranean
Our guests love this place very much because our route is not just about swimming and sunbathing. We also pass right over a glorious history that was submerged years ago. Those who visit the region find these routes, which offer both nature and history together, much more interesting than an ordinary beach holiday. Now, I want to tell you about these spots we visit every day from my own window, in a sincere and simple language.

The Sunken City And Dolkisthe Ancient City
As we approach Kekova Island, we have the opportunity to see the Sunken City up close. The ancient city of Dolkisthe, which was submerged by major earthquakes in the second century, is one of my absolute favorite points of our tour. Every time I see the reflection of the old stone stairs and the ancient house walls under the water in those crystal clear waters, I am mesmerized. The underwater is so clear that you can easily spot the traces of the people who lived here thousands of years ago. If you want to see this history closely, we explore these areas in detail in our daily Kekova boat tour programs, and I share what I know with you.
💡 Captain Ergun's Advice: Do not forget to bring your swimming goggles to see the ruins under the water much more clearly while slowly passing over the Sunken City. Of course, sunscreen is also a must in the Mediterranean heat. But if you rush out of the house and forget your swimming goggles or sunscreen, do not worry at all; we always have spare swimming goggles and high-quality sunscreens reserved for our guests on our boat, you can comfortably ask us for them.
The Streets Of Kaleköy And Simena Castle
Kaleköy, which we approach from the sea, is a very special place that can only be reached by boats since it has no road connection. The sounds of nature you hear while walking up the stone streets of the village towards the castle are truly relaxing. When you reach the very top of the castle, the majestic view of the Kekova Gulf appears completely before you. Whenever I find the opportunity to climb to the top, I always say "I am glad I became a sailor" while watching that vast, deep blue sea. Our guests also love the silence and the warm-hearted locals of this village.
💡 Captain Ergun's Advice: During our Kaleköy break, I highly recommend you to taste the homemade ice creams prepared by the villagers themselves. Especially the peach ice cream goes really well after walking up to the castle and getting tired under the bright sun.
Swimming Break At Tersane Bay
When we arrive at this historical bay where the Lycians used to build ships, we take advantage of the calmness of the sea and give a nice, long swimming break. The sea here is quite mild, and the moment you enter the water, you really feel relaxed. You can still see the ruins of those old ship workshops on the shore. When we anchor here, both our guests and our crew enjoy the absolute silence of that moment.
Our Compass Is Set To Blue, We Are Waiting For You
The time has come to leave the rush of a whole winter behind and spare some time for yourself and your family. We have done all the maintenance of our boat, finished our cleaning, and started waiting for our guests by brewing our tea on the deck.
If you also want to get away from the crowd a little bit and spend a calm and joyful day with your family, make your plan now. Do not forget to reserve your place for that sincere and pleasant Kekova boat tour experience where you can both rest your mind and see the historical places from the sea. On our usual route, your place is ready on our boat; see you soon!
When Is The Best Time To Join Our Tours?
Summer vacation is finally here, and our boat is completely ready to host families and friends who want to clear their minds. The whole summer season is suitable for our trips, but July and August, when the sea water reaches its ideal temperature, are highly preferred by our international guests. Whenever you feel ready to escape the city, we are here.
Where Do Our Tours Depart From And How To Reach The Harbour?
Our boats depart from Kaş harbour or Üçağız village pier in the morning hours when the sea is calmest. If you are renting a car, you can come to the harbour very comfortably, and you will not experience any parking problems. One day before the tour, I message you our exact meeting point and location in detail, so you can easily find our boat without any confusion.
What Are The Food And Beverage Options On Board?
I know very well that the sea air makes people hungry. We prepare our lunches on the deck of our boat. We have fresh daily olive oil appetizers, local salads, and grilled varieties. Our tea is always freshly brewed throughout the day, and our cold drinks are constantly at your fingertips in the fridge, you can grab one whenever you wish.
What Safety Measures Are In Place For Non-Swimmers?
I never want you to stay away from these beautiful waters just because you cannot swim very well. We have plenty of life jackets suitable for all sizes, non-sinking noodles, and floats on our boat. By using this equipment, you can safely stay on the water and enjoy the Mediterranean. Moreover, our crew's eyes are always on you as long as you are in the sea.
Is The Tour Comfortable For Families With Children?
I can definitely say yes to this question. We have wide shaded areas and comfortable cushions on our boat for children to relax. Life jackets suitable for children are also always ready on the boat. A day safely spent at sea is a great opportunity for children to release their energy and have a good time.
